January 7th, 2007 at 2:49 am eI used to go to the wonderful readings at Paul Cooper’s gallery on New Year’s Day, in the late 70’s and early 80s. They were incredible Poet celeb fests, (people from both the academic and boho wings like Stern, Ginsberg, Ruykeyser, Walcott (msp?), Adrienne Rich and dozens more) stopping by to read 15 minutes or so from Stein’s The Making Of The American.s It was a lot of fun.
